Man arrested for stealing a $60,000 BMW he tried to buy with food stamps

A Florida man, 36 year old Nicholas Jackson has been arrested for stealing a BMW after he tried to buy it with a US food stamp debit card( a voucher/debit card issued by the US government to those on low income for food).
According to Martin County Sheriff's office, Jackson went to the Pompano Beach auto dealership and tried to buy the $60,000 car using his EBT card and a credit card but was turned away. However, the following night, Jackson returned to the dealership and stole the car along with keys from 60 other vehicles.
Police say they later found Jackson with the car and the keys after he ran out of fuel because he didn't have money to fill the tank.

The Sheriff's Office in a statement said that Jackson was arrested on Friday and charged with grand theft auto.
