Arsenal fans urge Arsene Wenger to QUIT with 'time to say goodbye' banner despite Hull rout

Arsenal fans unveiled a banner
calling for Arsene Wenger to leave
the club after their FA Cup win
over Hull.
The Gunners marched into the
last eight of the competition with
a resounding victory at the KC
Stadium, courtesy of two goals
each from Olivier Giroud and Theo
Walcott.
But after a run of disappointing
results, Arsenal fans made their
feelings known.
Wenger's men hadn't won in five
matches in all competitions going
into the game and are eight points
adrift of Leicester in the Premier
League.
And after the 4-0 victory, the
travelling fans held a banner,
urging the Frenchman to walk
away.
Banner: Arsenal fans call for
Wenger to go
It read: "Arsene, thanks for the
memories but it's time to say
goodbye."
Wenger was clearly riled by more
questions about his future after
the game and responded by
angrily hitting back: “Can you
name me one person who has
won it more than me?
"This club has been in a much
better state since I have been
here.”
Speaking on BT Sport, former
striker Ian Wright hit out at the
Arsenal fans for the banner.
"It’s very disappointing. Yes,
we’ve had a couple of bad results
but it’s not over by any stretch of
the imagination," he said.
"Sometimes they have to look at
the players and the way they’ve
performed.
"You can’t completely keep caning
the manager like that.
“They won it comfortably and they
were under pressure going into
this game. To see that sign is just
annoying.”
