A Tribe Called Quest group member, Phife Dawg, passes away aged 45



American rapper Phife Dawg, of A Tribe Called Quest has passed away at the young age of 45. The exact cause of his death is unknown at the moment but Phife has been battling with health problems for years, consistently fighting Type-I diabetes, which he developed in 1990.

His struggle with diabetes often left him drained of energy and unable to perform for long periods of time on stage. He got a kidney transplant in 2008 to help with his sickness and has been on a low key musically since.


Real names, Malik Isaac Taylor, Phife Dawg was a member of the legendarty hip hop group 'A Tribe Called Quest' with Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. None of his group members have spoken about his death as at the moment.
